Frequently Asked Questions

How long is each therapy session?

A typical session for an adult or adolescent is 50 minutes, while a Play Therapy session is 45 minutes.

Initial Intake sessions are also 50 minutes long. During this appointment, you and I will discuss your medical, social, and psychological history, why you’ve come to counseling, and set treatment goals.

How much does counseling cost? Do you accept Insurance?

The standard fee for a 50-minute session is $135. Fees for longer or shorter sessions are prorated based on this fee.

I am out of network with all insurance companies. However, a receipt can be provided for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance company ahead of time to ensure reimbursement.

Is your practice a safe space?

Yes! My practice is a safe space for ALL clients regardless of ethnicity, gender, sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, or disability.

Do you offer Faith-Based Counseling?

Yes. I welcome all clients, and I have been trained to integrate my Christian worldview into counseling when it is desired and requested by the client.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Telehealth sessions are available for adults and teenagers when needed. Play therapy is generally not available via virtual sessions due to the nature of the therapy.

Do you prescribe medication?

Clinical Mental Health Counselors are not authorized to prescribe medication. However, I am happy to work with your psychiatrist and medical doctors to coordinate the best possible care.
